Personal information entered and phone number used for phone call service will be used in the following ways:
•JP Smart Internet’s Procedures
•Users Management (service registration and change, identification, personal authentication, credit management, inquiry correspondence)
•Operations necessary for providing「JP Smart SIM」(registration for our business partners and contract termination)
•Service guidance used for JP Mobile Corporation and our business partners
•Analysis used for improving our services
•Other services (SIM card delivery, payment request, answering questions regarding billing information from international telephone service providers
Definition of personal information
JP Mobile Corporation (also referred to as JP Mobile) defines personal information as information on surviving individuals prescribed to the law concerning personal information protection. This includes name, date of birth, email address, user ID, password, credit card and any other information that can identify a specific individual or may be connected with a specific individual’s hobby or family composition.
Cookies・IP address information
Because we cannot specify individuals by cookies or IP address information alone, we do not consider this as personal information. However, when this information is used together with personal information, they are regarded as personal information. In the media operated by JP Mobile, we disclose its purpose and method when using cookies and IP address information even if it cannot specify an individual. In addition, it is possible to deny cookies with web browser settings. We will notify you when you deny cookies and cannot receive our services.
Identification of purpose for using personal information
JP Mobile specifies the purpose of use when handling personal information.
Restrictions for using personal information
JP Mobile will not use personal information beyond what is necessary without permission in advance. However, these restrictions do not apply to the following cases:
•When applying to certain laws and regulations
•When it is necessary for the protection of human life, body or property
•When it is necessary for improving public health or the growth of children
•When asking for permission from our customer interferes with the affairs of national organizations, local public entities or personnel, who have received consignment prescribed by laws and regulations
Legal acquisition of personal information
JP Mobile acquires personal information only through legal procedures. In addition, JP Mobile will be aware not to acquire personal information of children under 15 years out without consent of a legal guardian.
Purpose of using personal information
1. JP Mobile will only use our customers’ personal information within the following necessity range.
Purpose of use includes those written on the other pages of our website.
（１）To answer inquiries from our customers.
（２）To send notices to our customers regarding services, campaigns, events, and business activities of JP Mobile.
（３）To confirm the scheduled appointment dates of JP Mobile with our customers
（４）To report to our customers the contract and status of the contract
（５）To introduce our customers on JP Mobile’s website with our customers’ approval.
（６）To respond to opinions and requests from other customers.
2.JP Mobile only shares the minimal necessary personal information of our consignor considering the operation of entrusted business (Sales and handling of products and services of other businesses etc.) and the products and services of our consignor.
3.When JP Mobile uses our customer’s personal information beyond the range of the purpose of use mentioned above, we will notify, disclose our purpose of use, and attain permission from our customer in advance.
4.We do not provide all of our customers’ personal information considering the purpose of use mentioned in 2. and 3. Instead we only provide the minimal personal information necessary to achieve our purpose.
Notification of purpose of use when acquiring personal information
JP Mobile will disclose the purpose of use of personal information in advance. However, this does not apply to the following situations.
1.In cases where there is harm to life, body, property, or other rights of the customer, or a third party when notifying or disclosing the purpose of use.
2.When notifying or disclosing the purpose of use harms or affects JP Mobile’s rights or legitimate profits.
3.When notifying or disclosing the purpose of use interferes with the affairs of national organizations, local public entities or personnel, who have received consignment prescribed by laws and regulations
4.In cases where the purpose of use is clear by looking at the status of acquisition.
Changing purpose of use for personal information
When changing the purpose of use for personal information, JP Mobile does not go beyond the purpose before changing the range of acceptable relevance, and will notify and disclose the purpose of use to our customers.
Safety management of personal information and Employee management
JP Mobile has established information security basic policies and information security policies, and prepared an Information Security Committee and necessary and appropriate employee management so that we can prevent leakage, loss and damage of personal information.
JP Mobile necessarily and appropriately supervises our employees regarding the handling of personal information so that personal information can be safely managed.
Management of outsourcers
To maintain necessary and appropriate supervision for safety management of personal information, JP Mobile keeps a contract, including a confidentiality agreement, with its outsourcers when handling parts or all of the personal information, and strongly asks its outsourcers to follow JP Mobile’s Information Security Policy.
Provision limitation to third party
1.JP Mobile will not disclose customer’s personal information to a third party without obtaining permission from our customer in advance except for the following cases.
（１）When applying to certain laws and regulations.
（２）When it is necessary for the protection of human life, body or property but difficult to obtain permission from our customer.
（３）When it is necessary for improving public health or the growth of children while it is difficult to obtain permission from our customer.
（４）When asking for permission from our customer interferes with the affairs of national organizations, local public entities or personnel, who have received consignment prescribed by laws and regulations
（５）When there is advanced notification of the following matters or announcement:
a.Items provided to a third party listed in the purpose of use
b.Data provided to a third party
c.Method provide to a third party
d.Termination of personal information provision to a third party by the customer’s request
2. However in the following occasions, it does not apply to the third party mentioned above.
（１）When JP Mobile provides parts or all of the personal information due to outsourcing within what is necessary to accomplish the purpose of use.
（２）When personal information is provided as a result of business merging.
（３）In occasions when our customer is notified in advance or under the condition that our customer can easily know the type of personal information shared and used, the range of use, purpose of use, and the name of the person responsible for management of personal information when sharing and using personal information with a specific person.
3. JP Mobile notifies our customers in advance or confirms that it is in a condition that our customer can easily know when there is a change in the purpose of use or the name of the person responsible for management of personal information when sharing and using personal information with a specific person.
Announcement of matters considering personal information
1. JP Mobile puts the following matters concerning personal information in a state that can be known by our customers at all times, and will always respond to our customers’ request without delay.
（１）Purpose of using personal information（However, it is beyond our obligation when it is for the protection of personal information according to certain laws and regulations. We will always notify our customers without delay if we are not able to respond their request.）
（２）Personal information support center
2. When our customer requests for the disclosure of personal information, JP Mobile will always respond to our customers’ request without delay. However, if any of the following occasions occur, JP Mobile has the right to disclose only parts or refuse to disclose any personal information, and will notify our customers without delay.
（１）In cases where there is harm to life, body, property, or other rights of the customer himself or a third party.
（２）In cases where there is interference with the operation of JP Mobile’s business.
（３）In cases where it is against the laws and regulations.
Please be aware that we will only disclose personal information recorded on the access log.
Correction of personal information
When JP Mobile receives requests from our customers to correct, add, or delete contents due to the incorrectness of personal information provided, necessary investigation is conducted without delay and within the range of necessity to achieve the purpose. (Cases where a special procedure is needed according to certain laws and regulations are excluded.) We will notify our customers for the corrections of personal information according to the investigation result.
Termination of personal information usage
According to our customers’ request, JP Mobile has the right to delete or terminate use of personal information after conducting necessary investigation without delay when our customer thinks that the handling of their personal information has exceeded the range of purpose of use announced in advance, or when their personal information is false or has been acquired illegally. We will notify our customers when any termination or deletion of personal information happens according to the investigation result. However, when significant cost arises or if we find it difficult to terminate personal information usage, we will take other alternatives to protect our customer’s benefit and rights.
Explanation of reason
JP Mobile will notify our customer with an explanation of reason, whether asked or not, if any of the following situation is confirmed: (1) When purpose of use is not notified, (2) When parts or all of the personal information is not disclosed, (3) When termination of personal information usage has not processed, (4) When provision of personal information to a third part is not terminated.
